Expert views that drive Change
The ECSS invites its members to submit Expert Statements on emerging or debated topics in sport science. The original, evidence-based contributions should be of broad interest to the sport science community, thereby stimulating debate and engagement with ECSS Members and the whole sport science community, including researchers, educators and/or practitioners.
The Expert Statements will typically provide a contemporary review or commentary on an emerging or controversial topic in sport science and statements which are multi-disciplinary in nature are particularly welcome. While encouraging collaboration and addressing pressing challenges in the field of sport science, authors are also required to give due consideration to issues of equity, diversity and inclusion, including the gender, career stage and the geographical location of the authors.
Proposed Expert Statements will first be reviewed and approved by the ECSS Executive Board comprising experts from diverse fields of sport science.
The ECSS Expert Statements may lead to further opportunities, including:
- Presentation at an ECSS Annual Congress invited symposium.
